Program Introduction
With its dual focus, the Master of Applied Linguistics and TESOL
will provide you with an understanding of the complex relationship
between language use and context, as well as a strong theoretical and
practical foundation in the field of teaching English to speakers of
other languages (TESOL).The Master of Translation and Interpreting Studies (Advanced) will
prepare you with the knowledge and skills you need for a career in this
dynamic field. It’s set apart from the Master of Translation and
Interpreting Studies in that it allows you to achieve greater depth in
either translation or interpreting, or in both disciplines. You’ll have
the opportunity to take electives that further develop your skills in
areas such as subtitling; as well as translation and interpreting in
medical, legal and business settings.
