Program Introduction

The Amputation and Prosthetic Rehabilitation MSc is a flexible programme of higher-level study suitable for both clinicians and non-clinicians who would like to work in this field. Learn about a patient’s journey from pre-amputation to prosthetic rehabilitation, exploring the physical and psychological aspects of patient care.

This course is subject to revalidation.

This course is a great way to improve your specialist knowledge if you already work, or would like to work, in this area. It’s ideal for multidisciplinary healthcare professionals from backgrounds such as physiotherapy, occupational therapy, prosthetics and orthotics, engineering, nursing and other related professions.

You’ll explore contemporary issues related to limb loss, and develop expertise in research, clinical practice and commerce. This will involve studying a wide range of current issues facing the delivery of amputation and prosthetic rehabilitation in a variety of different settings
