Program Introduction
The MA in Ancient History and Classical Culture is a dynamic course that
concentrates on the history and culture of ancient Greece, the Roman
world, the Levant, and the Near East, drawing on the expertise of
internationally recognised scholars. This fascinating and
rigorous course focusses on the history and culture of the ancient world
from archaic Greece to late antiquity. Topics studied potentially
include interactions between the Greco-Roman world and the neighbouring
societies in Afro-Eurasia and the latest debates about the treatment of
the material heritage of antiquity in the modern world. You can
specialise in history or literature, or a combination of the two.
Ancient Greek and Latin can also be studied.
